Like our signature sourdough bread, our signature sourdough roll at Poilâne® is made with just four ingredients: stone-milled wheat flour, Guérande sea salt, water and our sourdough starter. Weighing 90 g, or just over 3 oz., our individual-size rolls offer a dense, tan-colored crumb and a slightly tangy flavor that results from the natural fermentation of our sourdough starter. They are baked in a wood-fired oven.
Our signature sourdough rolls are best enjoyed within a day or two after purchase and are delicious fresh or toasted on one side. They are wonderful with butter, honey or jam for breakfast or with a dab of butter and a few squares of dark chocolate for a simple, scrumptious snack.
